What we collect

What you send us. When you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address, the topic you pick and your message. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include.

What we don't collect. This site doesn't set cookies, doesn't use analytics or advertising tools, and doesn't build a profile of you.

Basic technical information. Like any website, the services that deliver this site automatically handle technical details such as your IP address and browser type so the page can reach you and stay secure. See "Services we rely on" below.

Services we rely on

We use a few trusted services to run this site. Each handles information under its own privacy policy:

GitHub Pages hosts the website and may keep server logs, including IP addresses, for security.
Cloudflare provides our domain name service.
Google Fonts supplies the typefaces on this site. Your browser requests the fonts from Google, which receives your IP address and browser information.
Web3Forms receives what you submit through the contact form and forwards it to our email.
Google Workspace hosts our email, where your messages are stored.

When we might share information

Beyond the services above, we share personal information only if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or transfer of our business, in which case this policy would continue to apply.

How long we keep it

We keep messages for as long as we need them to respond, work with you and keep reasonable business records. You can ask us to delete your messages at any time.

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we have about you. Email contact@happyheartsoftware.com and we'll help. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we'll honor them.

Children

This website isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Security

This site is served over a secure (HTTPS) connection, and we limit who can access your messages. No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure, so please don't send passwords, payment details or other highly sensitive information through the contact form.

If we link to another website, that site's own privacy practices apply, not this policy.
